Troubled rail infrastructure provider Railtrack has today announced the appointment of its third finance director in under a year.
David Harding will head Railtrack’s finance function as former FD Sebastian Bull becomes business development director.
In November, Sebastian Bull, who was formerly corporate finance director, replaced CIMA-trained Steven Marshall as Railtrack FD. Marshall had stepped into Gerald Corbett’s shoes immediately after the chief executive resigned in the wake of the Hatfield Crash.
Harding, who is also a CIMA fellow, was finance director of building material manufacturer Rugby Group until it was acquired by RMC last year. Harding was also FD of international engineering group T&N and deputy FD at engineering company TI Group.
Commenting on the changes, Marshall said: ‘He [Harding] joins at a time when there is much to do to rebuild passenger confidence in the railway and where our investment plans and financial management have key roles to play.’
