Lawson wins contract

Lawson Software, the financial software specialist, has won a contract worth £250,000 to supply financial software and services to Frontline Limited, the publisher that is jointly owned by BBC Worldwide, EMAP and Haymarket Publishing Services. Lawson will provide Frontline with its Lawson Insight financial process suite which includes a purchase order module and Web-enabled capability.

Tax email service Electronic tax publisher Thompson Tax has launched an email-based tax information service for accountants. The service, called E-Tax, follows Thompson’s FaxTax service, and emails tax information as it breaks to subscribers. Tax bulletins include summaries of government press releases, Inland Revenue publications and current tax stories. A year’s subscription to the E-Tax or FaxTax service costs £105.
