Court hears how accountant stole from NHS

At the time of the fraud, Buckley had been working for a temporary staff
recruitment agency and was on placement at Cheshire Health Agency, based in

Having been promoted to head of payment services at the agency, on 15
February, Buckley transferred £339,100 from the agency’s account to his own
current account.

The following Monday he did not arrive for work.

He was tracked down to Thailand. On 27 February, Buckley surrendered himself
to police at Heathrow Airport.
