CFO quits big-screen company

Giant-screen exhibitor Imax, currently being investigated by US and Canadian
regulators for questionable accounting, has lost its chief financial officer,
Frank Joyce.

Imax said Joyce had resigned after telling the company several months ago
that he intended to leave.

He has since accepted a chief financial officer position at another publicly
listed company that Imax has not disclosed

Earlier this month, Imax disclosed it was the subject of separate probes by
the SEC and the Ontario Securities Commission into how it recognized revenue in
late 2005 associated with different elements of an Imax theater system contract.
