Tom Wood takes on the group FD post at Skipton, as Richard Twigg moves to an MD role
Skipton
Building Society has appointed Tom Wood as group FD, from 7
September, after previous incumbent Richard Twigg moved to a managing director
role in the business.
Wood has worked with other big banking organisations, including Barclays and
Derbyshire Building Society. He is also working on an interim basis for Northern
Rock
Skipton has posted pre-tax profits of £17m for the six months to 30 June,
compared to £43m a year earlier, results that ‘encouraged’ chief executive David
Cutter.
