BarterTrust, the business-to-business exchange company today said it has appointed CIMA fellow Paul McKoen as its chief financial officer, following its January relocation to London.
McKoen’s previous roles included chief financial officer for beleaguered internet service provider breathe.com, whose assets and technology were recently sold to General Universal Stores for £1.4m under the administration of PricewaterhouseCoopers. The chartered accountant also worked as finance director for Travel Choice, BICC Communications, and Ford.
Wilkinson, 57, will retire in July after the group announces its preliminary results following 26 years service at the company.
He will be succeeded by Ian McHoul. McHoul, 41, previously worked as FD at Scottish Courage – a division of Scottish & Newcastle.
Group chairman Brian Stewart, said: ‘Derek has done an outstanding job for Scottish & Newcastle over many years, not least in the last 12 months as we have transformed S&N into one of Europe’s leading beer companies. The timing of today’s announcement ensures that he will be able to make a controlled hand over to a very able replacement.’
