    Law firm tax partner lasts just six months at Deloitte

    Heads back to law firm after brief stint at Big Four firm

    Kathleen Russ, a former tax partner at law firm
    Travers Smith, has returned to the
    same law firm after spending just six months at
    Deloitte.

    Russ joined Deloitte’s mergers and acquisitions department as a partner in
    November 2006 after five years as a partner in Travers’ tax department, but left
    last month to return to the City law firm.

    The return of Russ’ increases Travers’ tax department to six dedicated tax
    partners, including senior partner and group head Alasdair Douglas.

    Travers tax partner Victoria Nicholl told
    Legal Week: ‘We are delighted to have
    her back.’
