Grant Thornton warns Brown to cut business taxes

UK facing exodus of major companies unless there is a more favourable tax climate

Mid-tier firm Grant Thornton
and the Forum of Private Business has warned
Gordon Brown that if he
does not cuts taxes soon, there will be an exodus of major companies out of the
UK.

The firm and the business group said Britain would lose the race to attract
investment unless Brown takes decisive action on improving the business climate.

The warning comes with just a week to go before the chancellor’s final
Budget.
