Grant Thornton helps secure pub buy-out
A corporate finance team from Grant Thornton has helped The Bar Group, a community based pub group located in the South East, acquire two pub groups located in London and the Home Counties.

The team, which comprised of Chris Buckenham and Keith Mitchell, secured the deal, which saw TBG acquire Wishing Well Taverns and R P Wigham & Co to create a group with a turnover of almost £13m.
The deal was secured with the support of Leisure and Media VCT as principal equity provider together with facilities from the Royal Bank of Scotland and Scottish Courage Ltd.
