Darling will focus on big earners in focus on tax avoidance
Chancellor Alistair Darling has used his pre-Budget speech to warn big
earners that he will be clamping down on tax avoidance.
In measures described as tough but fair, he said he will be looking at
100,000 off shore accounts.
“HMRC has aksed for details of at least 100,000 off shore accounts (with)
smaller tax measures to protect £5bn pounds a year of existing revenue,” he
said.
