Charity FDs welcome greater transparency
The Charity Finance Director's Group has welcomed a new report from the Charity Commission on the transparency and accountability in the financial reporting of charities

The study advises greater disclosure in charity accounts and makes recommendations on what information should be provided, where it should be done and when.
THE CFDG said the report will help charities understand the reasons behind many of the changes proposed recently for the Statement of Recommended Practice for Reporting and Accounting by Charities.
‘Charities are being encouraged to provide more information through their Reports and Accounts and this study provides guidance on how to do that effectively,’ said Shirley Scott, chief executive of the CFDG.
