Aston Villa FD resigns
Premiership side Aston Villa, currently hovering precariously close to the relegation zone, have lost their finance director, who has resigned from the club today.

A statement to the London Stock Exchange said Mark Ansell, an ICAEW-qualified accountant, had left the club ‘by mutual consent’ after six years at the company.
Ansell was second in command at the club, behind current chairman and chief executive Doug Ellis.
The club has instructed a firm of headhunters to appoint a chief executive replacement for Ansell.
Ellis will relinquish his role as chief executive in the New Year when the new chief executive takes up his post.
