The Swedish trade minister has quit her post after just a week, following
allegations about tax avoidance.
Maria Borelius allegedly failed to pay her nanny’s employer’s taxes and other
Pressure had already built up on the minister over other allegations last
week that she bought a summerhouse in 2002 using a company registered in Jersey
to avoid paying full taxes, reported the Financial Times.
