Brand said that despite numerous merger attempts among professional
accountancy bodies over the past 20 years, the likelihood of
ACCA merging with a
competing organisation is ‘quite slim’. ‘It’s not on my council’s agenda or on
my agenda as a priority or as a necessity. I do think competition makes you
