Free guide out on managing fuel purchases
Expert guidance is now at hand for tax advisers and accountants dealing with fuel purchasing and management, which accounts for a third of fleet costs.

The guide reveals that the annual fuel bill for a fleet of 50 cars can be £100,000 per annum – the equivalent of the salaries of two senior managers.
It also explains how a simple policy of requiring drivers to refuel at low-price supermarket petrol stations could save a fleet of 100 vehicles over £4,000 a year.
Janet Eastwood, head of product management (fuel) at Arval PHH, comments: ‘We’ve produced these guides because fuel purchasing is not a simple issue for fleets. The changing tax on free private fuel, rising forecourt prices and the implications of the EU’s Sixth VAT directive all have a significant impact on how companies buy their fuel.’
