Chris Kennedy has been named senior vice president and chief finance officer for EMI Music Continental Europe. Justin Morris takes over Kennedy’s former role as chief finance officer for EMI Music UK & Ireland.
Kennedy will oversee the finance operations of the group’s 21 companies in continental Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as well as the regional finance team at EMI Music Continental Europe’s headquarters in London. He will report to the division’s chairman and CEO Jean-Francois Cecillon.
Morris was previously senior vice president and chief finance officer for EMI’s Capitol Records in Los Angeles. As chief financial officer for EMI Music’s UK and Ireland regional division, Morris will have direct responsibility for the finance, IT, operations and shared services functions.
This month, EMI Music reported a profit rise of 18.4% for the six months to 30 September.
