Gill, who joined the Xansa in 2003, leaves for a company that is preparing for a possible London Stock Exchange listing later on this year. A Xansa spokesman would not reveal the name of the company.

Gill was previously CFO of the Penguin Group, the consumer books publishing division of Pearson. He also served as group FD at Dorling Kindersley.

Bill Alexander, Xansa chairman, said: ‘Since joining, at the beginning of 2003, Peter has played a significant role in the repositioning and reorganisation of the company. We would like to thank Peter for his contribution and wish him every success in the future.’
