Link: GME falls prey to winding up order
The Greenwich Millennium Exhibition company had tried to sue the company that ran the Dome, NMEC and KPMG as liquidators of the Dome, over trademark disputes and damage to its business last July.
Those efforts failed and made NMEC a creditor of the company. NMEC this week used its position to appoint Robson Rhodes liquidator of GME, instead of insolvency specialist David Mond of Hodgsons.
‘We are undertaking various investigations and this will include reviewing the merits of the claim by the company against NMEC,’ said Kevin Hellard of Robson Rhodes.
David Mond said he would have considered legal action against the government or the liquidators of the Dome.
