Elected just last week, Weber is responsible for court management and representing it in dealings with other EU institutions and national supreme audit organisations.

Weber has been the court’s Dean for external audits, audit development/reports dean, and head of cooperation with developing and other non-EU countries.

He was director general of public audits for Austria’s supreme audit institution from 1990-5 and has been an organisational unit chief at the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).
