Convicted Carlisle accountant facing jail time
Found guilty of stealing from employer

Harden, 42, an accountant from Harden, of Woodleigh, Walton, near Brampton
has been told to expect a prison sentence after being found guilty of stealing
£21,000 from his employers, the News and
Star reported.
Harden he was convicted of five counts of theft by a jury at
Carlisle
Crown Court after he claimed he was given wage rises of £6,000 and £4,000,
plus a £1,000-a-month bonus – claims which his employer, The Window Shop, denied
authorising.
Harden was responsible for paying the wages of staff at the Newtown
industrial estate firm, including his own.
Harden will be sentenced on 5 January next year.
