The location of the ICAEW's district society showdown has been revealed.
Insurance Hall in the City will play host to the extraordinary general meeting called after ICAEW member Don Heady gathered enough signatures to force the meeting on plans to reorganise its local members’ structure into ten regions.
The hall, in Aldermanbury, London EC2, was chosen as the Great Hall at the institute’s own headquarters in Moorgate Place will be undergoing refurbishment during July.
In an comment article written today for AccountancyAge.com, Don Heady said the egm, which the institute claims could cost up to Pounds 100,000, is necessary to avoid the issue being subsumed into the routine business of the annual general meeting.
