Johnston Carmichael expands into Glasgow

Scottish firm spreads its wings

Accounting firm Johnston Carmichael has chosen Steven Haldane to spearhead
its expansion into Glasgow.

Haldane worked for rival Scottish firm Campbell Dallas as compliance
director. He will now be Carmichael’s first Glasgow-based investment adviser, as
the firm attempts to spread its wings,
citywire.co.uk
reports.

He said he looked forward to working on the `coalface’ and gradually building
up the business.

‘Johnston Carmichael is a major presence in north east Scotland but is now
opening an office in Glasgow,’ Haldane said.

‘We are just taking things very gradually, it is a slow and steady build.’

Carmichael has been operating for 26 years and has eight offices in Scotland
with 13 advisers.
