Cable & Wireless FD tipped as BT boss
Cable & Wireless finance director Robert Lerwill has been tipped to take over the helm at BT when Sir Peter Bonfield steps down in January.
According to reports today, Lerwill’s name has been added to the list of potential candidates which ironically includes his own boss at C&W, Graham Wallace.
Lerwill has also been linked to the position of financial director at BT which is also up for grabs after Philip Hampton resigned.
Hampton had been groomed for the top slot but is said to have fallen out with BT chairman Sir Christopher Bland.
