FD appointments hot up on markets

In a busy week, three companies appoint finance-linked executives.

No less than three financial directorships have been filled at listed companies this week as Pilkington, EasyJet and BioProgress all announced their finance chief appointments.

Thirty-four-year-old Dan Farrow will step into the finance hot seat at pharmaceutical delivery mechanism provider BioProgress. Farrow was previously working as a consultant for hedge funds and other institutions.

Mark Lyons, meanwhile, became the new managing director of building products at glassmaker Pilkington after a long run in the company’s finance department. Lyons has worked as a financial controller, chief financial officer and European accountant in Brussels for the company.

Lastly, Jeff Carr has been named as the new FD of cut-price airline EasyJet.
