Sema Group reorganises to offer seamless service
Sema Group has reorganised its consultancy practice into four divisions, management consultancy, information systems work, technology consultancy and project management. The aim of the change is to offer clients a seamless service.
The division’s managing director, Sue Altshuler, said: “The project was driven by the nature of what we are doing for our customers. IT is becoming more commoditised, and Sema wants to move up the business cycle so that it can get involved in the projects earlier. This reorganisation is part of a change programme, along with a change in culture processes, and how we work with our customers.”
As part of the reorganisation the firm has also set up industry-specific client business units, each containing around 10 consultants.
Sema, which has 150 consultants, is recruiting heavily and expects to double its practice in terms of numbers and revenue by the end of 1998.
