Robert Elstone, one of the UK's leading sports consultants who has worked with the Rugby Football League and a range of premier league football clubs, has rejoined Deloitte as a director within the firm's Sports Business Group.

Elstone’s career began with the Rugby Football League, where he played a key role during a number of radical changes in the game including the development of the Super League.
He then joined Deloitte as one of the firm’s first dedicated Sports Business Group consultants in the mid 1990s and was involved in a range of projects including the creation and launch of the SPL, the appraisal and reform of Juventus’s commercial strategy, and the re-structuring of Greek professional football.
Before re-joining Deloitte, Elstone was in charge of exploiting commercial agency rights at Chelsea, Leeds United, Manchester City and Sunderland football clubs for broadcaster BSkyB.
His new role at Deloitte will see him advise on a range of business issues including the exploitation of all aspects of commercial opportunity within sport and sport-related business.
