UK accountants secure top positions at ISACA

UK accountants secure top positions at ISACA

Two British accountants have been re-elected in top positions with international body the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.

Paul A Williams, a partner at Arthur Andersen was elected international president and partner at KPMG Lynn Lawton was retained as vice-president at the organisation’s international conference in the US.

In keeping their roles, the pair will be at the top of an organisation with a membership of 21,000 who are collectively responsible for enhancing the effective management of information systems for business and the public sector in 100 countries.

One of the ISACA’s key achievements was forming the IT Governance Institute, which developed the IT governance tool COBIT.
