Evelyn Bourke has been named chief financial officer at Standard Life
Assurance after the company announced two new senior appointments to its UK and
Europe life and pensions unit.
Bourke, who is a qualified actuary, will aim ensure the division has a strong
financial discipline and that cost controls are in place, Trevor Matthews, the
chief executive of Standard Life Assurance said.
Standard Life also named John Gill as its new managing director for customer
service, where he will work on introducing new e-commerce initiatives.
