Business Object today laid down the gauntlet to rivals SAP and Oracle with
the launch of its EPM XI enterprise software package, which will offer finance
directors a significantly enhanced suite of integrated applications.
BusinessObjects EPM XI will offer users finance, performance management,
governance risk and compliance, and profitability tools with Business Objects’
business intelligence platform.
The new suite will include the acquisitions of Cartesis’ finance and
performance management solutions and ALG’s profitability tools.
Business Objects director James Fischer said the technology group had worked
hard to integrate the various applications on a tight timetable.
‘We set out an aggressive integration roadmap and we have achieved that,’
said Fisher. ‘We are now offering richer capabilities and a more integrated
proposition that really addresses the business issues facing finance directors.’
EPM XI will be rolled out from September 30.
