Bad tax advice alert
Growing concern over bad tax advice has prompted the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIoT) to seek a ground-breaking partnership with the Inland Revenue in an innovative bid to solve the problem. The CIoT called on the Revenue to drop its cloak of ‘client confidentiality’ and reveal anonymous details of the worst cases to help substantiate the size of the problem posed by poor advice.
