Reed Health FD goes after shareholder vote

Shareholders at Reed Health Group, the medical recruitment specialists, have voted against the reappointment of the company's finance director and chief executive.

As a consequence, Desmond Doyle and Christa Echtle were dismissed as FD and CE respectively, with immediate effect, following the company’s annual general meeting.

Shareholders also voted to reject resolutions related to share repurchases and security and pre-emption rights.

The news sent Reed Health shares tumbling today. Stocks were last trading on the London Stock Exchange at 95p, 25% down on the day.
