Goldsmiths College/AgressoGoldsmiths College has awarded a £268,000 service contract to Agresso for a financial and business information management system. The college will use several modules to replace a bureau service.

Midas IT Service/GNI

Midas IT has won a two-year £1.6m contract to support and develop GNI’s financial system, TradeMaster. The AS/400-based application provides office functionality for stock borrowing and lending in both equity and cash markets.

Baan/Teknion Corporation

Office furniture designer and manufacturer Teknion has selected Baan’s iBaan suite of web collaboration solutions, enabling it to accelerate major c-commerce initiatives.


Microsoft and Plumtree have announced a strategic alliance to offer organisations a corporate portal solution that is easy to deploy and integrates with various enterprise applications.

Technology website VNUNET has announced a strategic alliance with software provider AvantGo. The deal will enable VNUNET’s contents to be accessed on PDAs or mobile phones with internet capabilities.


Pharmaceutical company Aventis is to use software from ERM solutions provider Extensity to complete travel plans and expense management reports.

Moai Technologies/Requisite Technologies

Online negotiation solutions provider Moai has agreed a partnership bundling its technology with Requisite’s content management platform.

Citrix Systems/SAP

Citrix has signed a global technology partner agreement with ERP giant SAP. They will co-ordinate worldwide marketing and support activities, also optimising SAP’s cross industry solution, mySAP Workplace.

London Bridge Software Holdings/Admiral

London Bridge Software has won a contract to supply its Vectrus CRM software to direct motor insurance organisation Admiral. The software will be used to improve the handling of motorists’ insurance claims.


Coda has won a contract to supply Ikea with the means to convert its base currency to the euro, ensuring it easily beats the 1 January 2002 deadline set for official replacement.

Chorus/e-Net Software

Software vendor Chorus has teamed up with e-Net software to enable it to provide e-business capabilities to the SME marketplace, as part of its new financial application, Chorus.ea

Athene Software/Siebel

Predictive CRM solutions provider Athene has become a Siebel Software Partner. The alliance includes validation between Athene’s flagship product APT Churn and Siebel eCommunication 2000.3.


Vivendi subsidiary Universal Manufacturing & Logistics has awarded a five-year IT outsourcing contract worth £500,000 to Digica. The midrange and desktop specialist will provide constant technical support for Universal’s desktop, server and AS/400 equipment.

Augeo Software/JD Edwards

IT solutions provider JD Edwards is to implement Augeo Software’s Intelligent Planner system to manage its global client services division.

Mutek Solutions/Sun Microsystems

Mutek and Sun have teamed up to develop risk management solutions for the Sun platform. Under the agreement Mutek will deliver a version of its Black Box Flight Recorder for business-critical operations on the Sun platform.

Simon Horn Furniture/KPOS Computer Systems

French and English furniture provider Simon Horn has placed an order for KPOS’ Mach 4 Furniture Retail System. The merchandising and financial system will manage Simon Horn’s sales and purchase order processing, stock management and financial ledgers.

The Unique Pub Company/Simpson Associates

The Unique Pub Company has awarded a contract to Simpson Associates for the supply and implementation of its Business Intelligence ReadyMade application for business. The software will link its existing software applications, JD Edwards’ One World software and Cognos.


E-procurement solution provider Portum has teamed up with WIZNET to enhance the quality of its supplier management information. WIZNET converts printed material into high-tech documents that can be accessed, organised and analysed via the Internet. The partnership will increase transparency on Portum’s B2B trading directory.

Deloitte & Touche/Lawson Software

Deloitte & Touche Outsourcing, a service line of Deloitte & Touche, is to provide outsourcing services based on Lawson’s e-business engines and applications extensions.

Scoot/Albany Software

Online information service provider Scoot has selected a BACS software solution from e-transactions enabler Albany Software. The £10,000 contract will automate the payment and collection of funds to and from customers and suppliers.

Bryan, Garnier & Co/Reef

Internet software company Reef is to supply investment bank Bryan, Garnier & Co with its Internetware suite of applications. The software will enable the bank to turn its website into an interactive investor portal.

BT Ignite/MicroWarehouse

IT equipment online retailer MicroWarehouse has launched its catalogue on BT MarketSite, the UK indirect e-procurement marketplace licensed from Commerce One by BT Ignite.

GE Global/Cap Gemini Ernst & Young

B2B Internet commerce provider GE Global and CG E&Y have agreed an alliance to provide resources and expertise to help integrate companies into e-marketplaces and simplify how buyers and sellers complete transactions.

SAS Institute/Compaq

E-intelligence and data warehousing specialist SAS Institute has been chosen as a business partner for Compaq’s Zero Latency Enterprise initiative, which promises a single, up-to-the second view of customers and products.

Macfarlane Telesystems/Noetica

Call centre systems supplier Macfarlane has announced a partnership with solutions provider Noetica. The relationship should provide Macfarlane’s customers with end-to-end telephony and call centre management solutions.


The Boeing Group has successfully upgraded its Baan IV ERP system across 21 parts plants in the US, to Baan V. The implementation involved the migration of about 500 gigabytes of aeroplane production data. Information Solutions

Online travel services provider has relaunched its website after front office specialist Northgate fulfilled its £600,000 hardware solutions project. The site now provides business users with a holistic service, targeting SMEs with an annual travel budget of around £70,000.

i2 Technologies/Netegrity

Netegrity, a provider of solutions to securely manage e-business, is to bundle its SiteMinder platform with i2’s TradeMatrix Platform. The solution will provide i2 customers with a secure infrastructure on which to build e-marketplaces and collaborate with partners and customers.

HFC Bank/Norkom Technologies

HFC Bank has chosen Norkom’s Alchemist Customer Intelligence Module to enhance its customer acquisition and retention programme.

Regent Associates/IBM Global Financing

Regent and IBM have announced agreement to deliver a merger and acquisition financing service to the technology sector. The service is the first specialist M&A facility in the industry and will provide both debt and equity funding options.

Ascot Drummond/TheSkillsMarket

Online accountancy service Ascot Drummond has agreed a partnership with TheSkillsMarket, an online skills exchange dedicated to IT professionals which matches a job seeker to a recruiter. The partnership will provide IT contractors with an integrated recruitment and accounting service

Logica/Foreign and Commonwealth Office

Logica has signed a £6.4m contract with the FCO to develop, build and maintain a new Internet portal to promote Britain overseas, and enhance the global FCO web presence. Logica and its partners on the project, including Bates Interactive and Sun Microsystems, will also work with the FCO to attract corporate sponsors for the portal.

RSA Security/Egg

Financial services provider Egg has selected SecurID user authentication software from e-security provider RSA, to provide secure remote network access for its mobile employees.


Online transport solutions provider ShipLogix has chosenSavvion’s BusinessManager e-BPM solution to create a web-based Request for Quotation solution. The new module will allow shippers and carriers to perform RFQ tasks more efficiently, negotiating contracts online in real time.


Financial services consultancy Calleo has chosen epicRealm’s global network to reduce cost, increase service levels and maximise the customer experience associated with online banking.

The Ministry of Defence/Indus International

The MoD has chosen Indus’ PassPort software to consolidate and rationalise spare-parts inventory across the armed forces.


OFSTED has awarded a seven-year, £28m contract to Logica for the development and management of IT and communications services. OFSTED will have responsibility for regulating all day-care provision for children under eight.

ClearCommerce/Computer Associates

E-software firm Computer Associates is integrating the ClearCommerce Engine to optimise transaction functionality and performance for online stores.
