PBR 09: 10,000 low income grads to get helping hand

Darling pledges to help struggling graduates

Chancellor Alistair Darling said he will help prospective graduates who are
struggling.

In his pre-Budget speech he said up to 10,000 students from low income
backgrounds will be targetted by a scheme, who will be helped into internships
and businesses.

“Financial support for up to 10,000 undergraduates from low income bacgrounds
(will be introduced)” he said.
