Edinburgh hosts capital markets conference
Scotland's capital has been chosen to host this year's International Federation of Accountants 2000 conference starting tomorrow.
The conference, dubbed ‘The needs of the capital markets – a measured response’, will address the main business issues facing accountants and others involved in the capital markets.
Conference speakers will include important figures, such as chairman of the Financial Services Authority Howard Davies, International Accounting Standards Committee Stig Enevoldsen and Ed Jenkins from the Financial Accounting Standards Board.

The conference hosted by IFAC president, Frank Harding, is being held to coincide with the May 2000 IFAC Assembly. IFAC membership comprises more than 2 million accountants in public and private practice, business, education and government service from accountancy bodies around the world.
