Damon Dash launches multi-million dollar lawsuit
Damon Dash, the music
mogul, has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against his accountant.
According to a report in the New York
Daily News, Dash recently filed a $3.5m (?1.7m) lawsuit with
Manhattan
Supreme Court against accountant Barry Klarberg, alleging that he embezzled
three years’ worth of tax payments from the Roc-A-Fella Records founder.
Dash claims Klarberg made mistakes with his New York and New Jersey income
tax returns for 2000 and 2001, as well as allegeldy seriously miscalculating
what Dash owed in 2005.
Klarberg’s clients include Justin Timberlake and hockey star Mark Messier
and he is also the author of ‘Winning Tax Strategies and Planning for
Athletes and Entertainers’.
