Mayflower coach-making unit sold in MBO

Deloitte, administrator of bus-maker, Mayflower, has sold the company's coach-making unit, Plaxton, to its management for £15m.

Administrators wanted to sell TransBus as a single unit.

Following the sale of Plaxton, the original deadline of yesterday and invited bidders to resubmit offers for the parts that remain.

Plaxton is the UK’s largest coachbuilder with a 30% market share.
