Consultation on accounting regulations for charity begins
Consultation is to be launched on the revision of accounting regulations for charity, according to a government statement.
Proposed changes to the 1995 accounting regulations reflect the new exposure draft of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting by charities.
Home Office minister Paul Boateng said: ‘A clear framework for charity accounting is important for the public’s confidence in the integrity of charity. ‘
Views on the revision should be in by 30 April an sent to the Charity Commission.
