Budget 08: Economic growth revised downwards

Darling says economy will grow by between 1.75% and 2.25% in 2008

Alistair Darling forecasts UK economic growth of between 1.75% and 2.25% in
2008.

The forecast is lower than the growth of 2.5% to 3% predicted in the 2007
Budget.

Darling said growth in 2009 would be between 2.25% and 2.75%. In 2010 growth
is forecast at between 2.5% and 3%.
