Management Consultancies Association gets Website grant
Members of the Management Consultancies Association will soon be able to access information about the association and other members on its new Internet Web site. The MCA has just won a #20,000 subsidy, through the Department of Trade & Industry’s Information Society Initiative’s Trade Association Network Challenge, to set up its own Internet Web site and e-mail facility.
“We have to put #20,000 towards the project ourselves,” said Brian O’Rorke, executive director of the MCA. “The DTI funding is subsidy to boost our Internet presence with members and external organisations, so that we can become a more effective organisation.”
“The MCA page will act as an umbrella and that is open to our members and other members who register with us,” said O’Rorke. “The objective is to help our members’ businesses grow,” he added.
Meanwhile the MCA’s Quarterly Business Trends survey suggests that the economy will continue to grow, after member revenues for the third quarter of 1996 grew to #400m. Members expected a sharp upturn in fees over the next six months.
