Dodd, a chartered accountant, has experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked for Novartis and Zeneca. At the latter, he assumed the position of chief financial officer for Zeneca Specialities and corporate treasurer of Zeneca Group Plc.
He is set to join the company on 1 April, replacing David Thompson who will continue as deputy chief executive until he retires later this year.
