Customs has lost the last round of a six-year court battle against financial outsourcing company FDR in a decision experts say has significant implications for the banking industry. The House of Lords refused Customs leave to appeal a decision that allowed FDR to provide services to banks free of VAT. The company was represented by Ernst & Young.
