E&Y Birmingham welcomes return of partners

The Birmingham office of E&Y has welcomed the return of two home-grown partners

The Birmingham office of
Ernst
& Young
(E&Y) has welcomed the return of Jason Lester, an
international tax partner, and John Flaherty, an audit and transactions
specialist, who between them have spent more than 20 years of their careers in
the West Midland region.

The pair have most recently worked with a predominantly London client base
and are now returning full-time to advise the West Midland’s fast growing,
listed and multinational businesses. In addition, Flaherty will also retain some
existing clients in London, according to the Birmingham Post.

Ronnie Bowker, E&Y’s senior partner in Birmingham, said Lester and
Flaherty had worked with some of the firm’s biggest clients and their insights
and experience would be a real asset.

Lester said he looked forward to working with the West Midlands’ business
community full time. Flaherty aims to build the firm’s audit practice in the
Midlands.
