Michael Snyder claims success of London bid will provide massive boost to commerce and an increased demand for accountants' services
Corporation of London chief Michael Snyder has claimed that the successful
Olympics bid would be a ‘tremendous boost’ to the economy, and would see a great
demand for the services of accountants, solicitors and lawyers in the lead up to
the Olympics.
Snyder, the senior partner at accountants Kingston Smith, said London would
be the ‘centre of international attention’ and would attract more business and
talent to the capital, while accountants and other professional
services providers would benefit from the ‘boost to commerce’.
But he denied that Corporation of London members that had provided funding
and ‘services in kind’ to the Olympic bid would be favoured above other
businesses for contracts arising from the Games.
