Grant Thornton launches US recovery arm
Unit is part of firm’s national growth strategy
The US arm of Grant Thornton has launched a recovery and reorganization
services practice aimed at assisting under-performing and financially troubled
businesses.
‘Our new recovery and reorganization practice will allow us to take a
leadership role in this highly fragmented industry,’ said Grant Thornton chief
executive Ed Nusbaum.
He said it was part of the firm’s plans to build a ‘comprehensive national
presence’.
The business will be led by Marti Kopacz and Loretta Cross, both of whom have
experience in business reorganisation.
Kopacz was a partner at PricewaterhouseCooopers, where she was a founding
member of the corporate restructuring practice before it was acquired by FTI
Consulting.
Cross was a also a partner at PwC and a senior managing director with FTI.
