According to an Aon statement, the consulting group will be taking over the actuarial and consulting services of the group’s UK business, in particular CHEP, Cleanaway and Brambles Industrial Services.
Ralph Turner, group pensions director for Brambles, said that Aon was selected as it showed a ‘common sense approach’ and an ability to meet its business needs while ‘building good relationships’ with its in-house team.
Brenda Capel, Aon’s client relationship manager, said the consultancy would be working on all of the Brambles UK pension schemes. ‘Our aim is to keep advice and scheme management simple and at the same time manage down any risks associated with existing benefits.’
Brambles employs 30,000 people worldwide and is listed both in Australia and the UK.
