Ernst & Young wins major audit from PricewaterhouseCoopers
PricewaterhouseCoopers has been dumped by US-based communications giant VTEL and replaced with Ernst & Young.
Based in Austin, Texas, with offices and resellers in 61 countries, VTEL provides visual communications products and services such as visual communications software and videoconferencing systems. Its UK offices are based in Reading.
Mark Lang, VTEL chief financial officer, said: ‘Ernst & Young is no stranger to VTEL, having been actively engaged as the company’s strategic counsel on business activities abroad. Ernst & Young was instrumental in advising VTEL on international expansion initiatives in late 1997, which subsequently led to its selection in 1998 as VTEL’s international advisors.’
‘The time is right to expand Ernst & Young’s role with VTEL,’ added Stephen Von Rump, VTEL chief executive officer and president.
