The latest stage of an ongoing VAT battle results in a win for Rank Group, but the case isn't over
The Rank Group confirmed it has received £59.1m in overpaid VAT dues from HM
Revenue and Customs.
The rebate covers the period from January 2003 to June 2008, according to
investegate.co.uk
Following HMRC’s appeal of the repayment in May, Rank could be forced to return
the sum plus interest.
The case will be heard in the High Court in 2009.
