New CFO to take Accenture public
Accenture, the management and IT consultancy, has appointed Harry You as its new chief financial officer to oversee its transition to public company status.
He is to begin immediately and will be responsible for guiding Accenture through its IPO – expected to take place in July – and run the CFO function once the company lists. He will report directly to CEO Joe Forehand.
He has replaced Mike McGrath, 54, who served as Accenture CFO since September 1997, and who will now serve as treasurer, managing the treasury and tax functions and corporate matters.
You, 42, is well suited for the post having previously worked as managing director of Morgan Stanley’s information services group, which guided major professional firms through the transition from partnership to public ownership.
Prior to this position, You was senior vice president of Lehman Brothers, responsible for several diversified conglomerates and information technology companies.
