Campaign launched to end 'death tax'
Daily newspaper begins crusade to scrap inheritance tax
Readers of the Daily Express will be given the opportunity to join a
crusade to end inheritance tax.
The paper’s Saturday magazine will include a free car sticker spelling out
opposition to Gordon Brown’s IHT plans
The newspaper claims 200,000 of its readers are opposed to the so-called
death tax, which hits thousands of families every year.
Each sticker will feature the slogan ‘Scrap Inheritance Tax’ slogan along
with the Express’s mascot, the Crusader.
More and more people are facing an inheritance tax hit due to rising house
prices which have climbed at a far higher rate than increases in the IHT
threshold.
The IHT threshold currently stands at £275,000.
