Votes are in for awards shortlist

The shortlist for the reader-voted honours in the 2006 Accountancy Age Awards has been drawn up after weeks of polling

The Employer of the Year award has been hotly contested once again with
Robert Half International, BDO Stoy Hayward, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG,
Deloitte and Moore and Smalley competing.

Meanwhile, the Recruitment Consultant of the Year prize sees Michael Page,
Reed, Hays, Robert Half International and Morgan Law make the final group.

Perhaps the most eagerly awaited accolade is the Personality of the Year
Award. Among the candidates for Personality of the Year are Rona Fairhead, CEO
of Financial Times Group, Alison Reed, group finance director at Standard Life,
Jeremy Newman, managing partner of BDO Stoy Hayward, Dave Hartnett, director
general of HM Revenue & Customs and Eric Anstee, chief executive of the
ICAEW.
